The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a critical role in the Emergency Mental Health & Addiction Assessment Team. This position involves providing expert clinical consultancy and services within a defined specialty.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking assessment and management of mental health and addiction presentations to ED
  • Providing advice and assessment to emergency services through a virtual mode
  • Demonstrating leadership in promoting contemporary nursing practice within the healthcare system

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience and postgraduate qualifications in the relevant field
  • Accredited person or willingness to be upskilled
  • Demonstrated superior MH knowledge and exceptional assessment skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team
