As an experienced and proactive Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a significant infrastructure project in NSW. The project involves a major upgrade that will help secure long-term water supply for communities in Central West NSW.
This project involves the construction and upgrade of three major pump stations across Nyngan and Hermidale, including new river intakes, balance tanks, surge vessels, and mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ensure cost-effective construction methodologies and identify improvement areas.
- Track project finances, review costs vs. budget, and highlight margin impacts.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and teams to resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.
- Ensure materials and services meet quality assurance requirements.
- Develop inspection and test plans, monitor quality control plans, and ensure compliance.
- Assess risks, implement hazard controls, and support incident investigations.
- Promote a strong safety culture through pre-starts and toolbox talks.
- Review comprehensive environmental management plans before work begins.
- Maintain quality assurance documentation, manage project closeout, and finalize defect claims.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years Project Engineering experience in the Construction Industry (Civil, Utilities, and Water Infrastructure projects highly desirable).
- Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with people at all levels, and other stakeholders as required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software and other relevant computer applications.
- Pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screening.
