Senior Aged Care Research Specialist

This research scientist position is located in a renowned research centre focused on monitoring health, service utilisation, medication use, mortality, and other health specific outcomes of people receiving aged care services.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct high-quality research to improve quality and safety of care in aged care, medication safety, and integrated care.
- Facilitate projects focusing on individuals in aged care settings with federal funding.
- Work independently and collaboratively with the research team, partners, consumer representatives, staff, and stakeholders of the research projects.
- Conduct analyses of large datasets (over 3.8 million individuals, billions of records).
- Prepare papers for publication in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in the dissemination of research findings at appropriate conferences.
- Monitor and report on progress against key performance indicators of funded studies.
- Possess a degree qualification in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience.
- Hold a PhD in Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Geriatrics, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field.
- Demonstrate a history of independent scientific contributions in your discipline.
- Show excellent proficiency working with SAS, R, or Stata.
- Have experience working with large datasets independently.
- Exhibit excellent epidemiological and biostatistical knowledge.
