We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) in the Department of Aerospace, Physics and Space Sciences (APSS). The successful candidate will conduct research at the forefront of solar wind plasma and turbulence using data from current and previous spacecraft, theory, and numerical simulations.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in space plasma physics, focusing on solar wind plasma and turbulence.
- Analyze data from spacecraft, develop and apply theoretical models, and perform numerical simulations.
- Collaborate with the research team to design and implement research projects.
- Prepare and submit research papers to peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in proposal submissions to secure extramural funding.
- PhD in Physics or a closely related field.
- Research experience in spacecraft data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of plasma theory and numerical simulations.
- Familiarity with Python and/or IDL programming languages.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
