Job Opportunity

GenesisCare is seeking a part-time Exercise Physiologist to join our team in Perth, working 2 days per week from either our Wembley or Joondalup clinic. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to choose their preferred days and location.

  • Deliver tailored exercise programs to patients undergoing treatment, promoting physical activity during cancer care and beyond.
  • Provide empathetic understanding regarding the benefits of exercise during and after cancer treatment, addressing potential barriers and concerns.
  • Offer follow-up information to patients interested in exercise, answering questions and alleviating concerns where necessary.
  • Design and implement individualized exercise prescriptions and transition plans for patients based on their medical history and personal characteristics.
  • Maintain detailed records and provide timely communications to relevant clinicians.
  • Ensure the physical space of the exercise clinic is well-maintained.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology with ESSA Accreditation.
  • CPR & Current First Aid certification.
  • Previous experience in exercise oncology (desirable).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to develop suitable exercise programs for individuals with varying physical capabilities.
  • Genuine passion for patient care and dedication to role responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience communicating and reporting to healthcare professionals (desirable).
  • Understanding of behavior change principles and ability to apply them effectively (desirable).
