Job Opportunity for Exercise Physiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our team of like-minded health professionals. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for conducting a broad range of outcome assessments, establishing individual rehabilitation plans and exercise programs tailored to each client's current and changing presentation, and delivering group training sessions and exercise classes to a variety of client groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments and chronic disease initial and progress assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans and exercise programs that meet the specific needs and goals of each client.
  • Deliver high-quality group training sessions and exercise classes, including functional conditioning, cardiac rehabilitation, orthopaedic rehabilitation, strength and conditioning classes for all age groups, injury prevention sessions for athletes, and other specialized programs as required.
  • Manage cases for workers' compensation clients, ensuring successful return to work outcomes through effective communication with case managers and allied health professionals, delivery of rehabilitation plans, and adaptation of plans for various work environments and age groups.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and referral sources, promoting professional development opportunities and contributing to ongoing education at our practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Essential requirements include an Exercise Physiology degree qualification and ESSA Accreditation.
  • Excellent skills in exercise prescription and programming, with experience working in a clinical setting and ideally with musculoskeletal experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
  • Relevant degree qualification and ESSA Accreditation, professional indemnity insurance, and current first aid/CPR training.
