Our mission is to provide exceptional patient care and support by developing and delivering individualized exercise programs for patients with cancer.

This role involves working part-time (2 days per week) from either our Wembley or Joondalup Oncology clinics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver personalized exercise plans for patients with cancer, taking into account their medical history and personal characteristics.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the benefits of and potential barriers to exercise during and after cancer treatment.
  • Provide timely follow-up information to patients, addressing their questions and alleviating concerns.
  • Design and execute individual exercise prescriptions and transition plans based on patient medical history and personal characteristics.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with relevant clinicians.
  • Oversee the physical space of the exercise clinic.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology with ESSA Accreditation.
  • CPR and Current First Aid certification.
  • Previous experience in exercise oncology is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to develop appropriate exercise programs for individuals with diverse physical capabilities.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care and support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience communicating and reporting to other healthcare professionals is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of principles of behavior change and ability to guide patients towards engaging in exercise.
