Job Overview

The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic and operational leadership to the organisation, reporting directly to the Board.

About the Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven leader with senior executive experience in community and/or government services. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial and financial management background, as well as the ability to guide the organisation through both strategic reform and day-to-day operations.

The successful applicant will be skilled in managing complex issues and resolving conflict with integrity and professionalism. They will also have knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and heritage matters, with the ability to apply this knowledge to strengthen governance and outcomes for the community.

  • Minimum 2-years senior executive experience in community and/or government services.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship building and conflict resolution skills.
  • Commercial and operational management skills, including funding oversight, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Visionary and strategic thinking with operational planning expertise.
  • Comprehensive understanding of governance and leadership principles.
  • Able to lead and manage teams, mentoring and empowering staff to build a culture of engagement, accountability, and success.
