Accountant, SMSF Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) expertise to join our specialist team.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues across the wider Private Business Tax & Advisory (PBTA) team.
  • Prepare and administer SMSF Financial Statements, Annual Returns, and Member's Statements including Trustee Minutes and Section 290-170 Notices.
  • Provide advice to colleagues and escalate any SIS compliance issues to assigned Manager / Director / Partner.
  • Assist the wider PBTA team with the preparation of Statements of Advice (SOAs).
  • Support the provision of training and mentorship opportunities to less experienced team members as required.

An ideal candidate will have experience providing business advisory services to SMSF clients and possess a service-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement focus.

Required skills include professional accounting experience working with clients in the Australian SMSF sector, high-level written and spoken communication, solid analytical and critical reasoning skills, and intermediate to advanced IT literacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Administer SMSF documents and reports.
  • Escalate compliance issues.
  • Prepare statements of advice.
  • Provide training and mentorship.
