Role Description

This is a senior position for someone who is confident managing complex audits and providing high-level technical insights. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting independent SMSF audits across a wide range of fund scenarios
  • Reviewing audits prepared by junior staff and providing constructive feedback
  • Handling technical queries from clients and team members
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of superannuation legislation and audit standards
  • Assisting with internal training, procedures, and quality reviews

You'll work closely with the Principal and play an important role in mentoring junior team members and enhancing our audit processes. For the right candidate, this role has a clear pathway to an audit manager position.

Qualifications

  • Experience in SMSF auditing and understanding of SMSF regulations
  • Competency in reviewing financial statements and identifying compliance issues
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using audit software and technology tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Professional certification, such as CPA or CA is advantageous
