Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior SMSF Accountant to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to grow and develop their career in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

As a Senior SMSF Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting our offshore team with the preparation of SMSF Financial Statements, Annual Returns, and Member's Statements including Trustee Minutes and Section 290-170 notices.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing Financial Reports and providing expert advice on client work.
  • Assisting with data entry and processing within BGL360.
  • Preparing and administering SMSF BAS, IAS and PAYG Payment Summaries.
  • Liaising with external auditors and other bodies such as the ATO and ASIC.
  • Managing own workflow and prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Supporting our administration team with SMSF related documentation including Deeds, Pension commencement minutes, SMSF establishments and ATO related documents.
  • Providing support to the wider team with Superannuation queries and escalating any SIS compliance issues to assigned Manager / Client Director / Partner.
Requirements
  • Ideal candidate will have 3-4 years' experience within business services for an SMSF clients.
  • High-level written and spoken communication skills with strong attention to detail in your work.
  • Ability to Problem Solve and provide solutions to the Leadership team as required.
  • A confident manner and the ability to interface with clients and earn their respect.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and respond to queries where required.
  • Experience in SMSF Software, preferably BGL 360 or Class Super.
  • Ability to multitask and respond to internal and external queries in a timely manner.
