SMSF Accounting Career Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled SMSF accounting professional to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in assisting with SMSF accounting tasks, including entering and allocating transactions, undertaking bank and investment reconciliations, and preparing financial statements and tax returns.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in SMSF accounting. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter and allocate accounting transactions for self-managed super funds (SMSFs)
  • Undertake bank and investment reconciliations
  • Interact with clients over email, phone, and in person
  • Prepare financial statements and tax returns for SMSFs
  • Work on rollovers, contributions, pensions, and lump sums for funds
  • Liaise with third parties such as the Australian Tax Office and financial institutions
  • Accurate record keeping, processing, and system management
  • Support our network of financial and investment advisers
  • Assist in the training, coaching, and mentoring of Assistant Accountants
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience in SMSF accounting
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree (Commerce or similar) with a major in Accounting with CA/CPA qualification underway
  • Experience using SimpleFund 360
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
