Join a dynamic team as an Environmental Conservation Officer to work in the beautiful outdoors and contribute to the preservation of our natural environment.

About the Role

In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for assisting with a diverse range of activities related to conservation and maintenance of national parks and wildlife reserves. Your duties may include:

  • Pest and weed control
  • Maintenance and improvement of park assets
  • Operating and maintaining plant and equipment
  • Participating in fire management activities

You will have the ability to think on your feet and work independently or as part of a team. A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety are essential.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A current Australian Class C Drivers licence or equivalent
  • The ability to obtain MR Licence where appropriate
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out all duties safely and ability to obtain relevant certification
  • Certification in operating a chainsaw for basic felling
  • Ability to participate in frontline firefighting duties and support roles

This is a physically active role that requires candidates who are fit, enjoy working outdoors and are eager to learn and develop skills and qualifications needed to contribute towards NSW's natural places.
