The Role

This position involves effective conservation management of natural, historic and Aboriginal heritage sites through planning, undertaking, coordinating and supervising projects, environmental assessments, visitor liaison and field-based activities.

You will assist in project managing initiatives, ecological restoration, threatened species recovery actions, wildlife management, compliance activities, weed control and feral animal control to conserve the natural and cultural heritage.

Essential Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent relevant to the field operations of our agency.
  • Current Australian Class C Drivers licence and ability to operate four-wheel-drive vehicles.
  • Required certification at the appropriate level prior to undertaking firefighting duties.
  • Willingness to fly in light aircraft and preparedness for incident management duties.
  • Meeting specific medical assessment requirements, including clearance for firefighting fitness roles within the 12-month probationary period.

Your Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with strong skills in environmental conservation, project management, leadership and collaboration. You should have a degree in a relevant field, experience in working outdoors and proficiency in operating equipment.
