Strategic Asset Maintenance Planner

The primary function of this role is to develop a forward-looking 12 and 6-month major component replacement plan, which is accurately resourced and communicated to ensure optimal asset utilization.

This involves close collaboration with key suppliers to secure the required components in a timely manner.

Additionally, this position requires the planning and management of offsite machine rebuilds, including assisting with scope and variations.

Another key responsibility is the development of accurate and timely forecast plans for the Production and Maintenance departments.

Effective coordination with project planners and fleet specialists is also essential to ensure that mining activities are aligned with production goals.

Maintenance improvements and opportunities for operations should be identified in conjunction with managers and superintendents.

Lastly, this role entails maintaining up-to-date and accurate Long-Term Planning data.

Key Qualifications:

  • Trade or Engineering Qualifications
  • Significant experience in maintenance planning/scheduling
  • Asset costing and budgeting expertise within heavy industry
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • A solid understanding of the coal mining process and relevant mining legislation
