Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and strategic accounting professional to provide project accounting services across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate project finance reports, including variance analysis, actuals, commitments, and estimate to complete forecasts.

They will also be responsible for reviewing transactional information, ensuring correct allocation and coding, and preparing month-end accruals and journals associated with the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare monthly project finance reports including variance analysis, actuals, commitments, and estimate to complete forecasts, along with reviews of progress claims and variation orders.
  2. Ensure all project accounting activities are completed in accordance with monthly timetables and company policies/standards.
  3. Review transactional information to ensure correctly allocated/coded to the project. Prepare and process month-end accrual and other journals associated with the project.
  4. Assist with the completion of purchase order requisitions and ensure purchase orders have been received and approved in the financial system.
  5. Communicate monthly project results to stakeholders as required.
  6. Prepare capitalization schedules of assets throughout the project and maintain the relevant fixed asset registers.
  7. Prepare and submit relevant project acquittals of any gift funds associated with projects.
  8. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that all reconciling items are actioned and cleared on a timely basis.
  9. Support project managers and other team members with finance-related requests.
