Project Accountant Position

A strategic Project Accountant is required to provide project accounting across multiple entities.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of month end deliverables, accounting practices and processes, and accounting standards particularly when applied to project and capital accounting.

  • Prepare monthly project finance reports including variance analysis, actuals, commitments, and estimate to complete forecasts.
  • Review transactional information to ensure correctly allocated/coded to the project.
  • Assist with the completion of purchase order requisitions and ensure purchase orders have been received and approved in the financial system.
  • Communicate monthly project results to stakeholders as required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project finances.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize work effectively and plan for and meet reporting deadlines. They will also be able to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
