Role Overview

In this pivotal role, you will oversee and ensure the smooth execution of intricate shipping operations and logistics coordination. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager and Project Manager, you will collaborate with essential internal and external stakeholders, including procurement, administration, vendors, project teams, finance, engineering, construction, legal, and clients.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Executing shipping activities for assigned Purchase Orders in alignment with Technip Energies' Global Principles & Standards.
  • Managing transportation operations as per the Logistics Execution Plan established for the project.
  • Assigning shipping tasks to freight forwarders and overseeing their execution.
  • Contributing to the assessment of freight forwarder performance.
  • Handling invoice processing and verifying services rendered by freight forwarders.
  • Inspiring team members across various business centers and countries to engage actively in daily tasks and improvement initiatives.
  • Providing estimates and reports on transport costs and man-hours, while monitoring budgets against project execution.
  • Developing transport and logistics management plans for projects in collaboration with the Project Procurement Manager.
  • Planning and adjusting shipping schedules as necessary.
  • Preparing specifications, invitations to bid, negotiation documents, and service orders.
  • Defining and assigning shipments to forwarding agents outside of service orders.
  • Coordinating with suppliers for pick-up operations based on the shipping plan for each shipment.
  • Issuing or coordinating import-export documentation with the Administration Department when required.
  • Issuing and updating Shipping Notices for all parties involved and sending a complete set of shipping documents to the field.
  • Participating in minor buyer activities to support operational supply and delivery.
  • Collaborating with the site materials team for effective site coordination, preservation, and storage of materials.

Candidate Profile

We are eager to connect with candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • A Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Business & Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant experience in managing and coordinating complex shipping operations.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or coordinator role is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with IT tools or web inquiry management systems is highly regarded.
  • Experience in oil & gas or energy projects is preferred.
  • A solid understanding of large module movements and multimodal transport.
  • Strong negotiation skills with freight forwarders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
  • Proficient in stakeholder engagement.
  • Adaptable and capable of coordinating across international locations.
