Logistics Support Officer

This position requires NV2 level security clearance as a minimum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist SOCOMD sub-elements with the demand, receipt, storage, security, maintenance, inspection, internal distribution, stocktaking, and disposal of Commonwealth materials in line with Defence policies.
  • Oversee inventory management, supply chain information functions, and act as the primary user for the Asset Management System (AMS).
  • Manage entry into service requirements and ongoing support, including stocktaking and other project-related tasks as directed by the Commonwealth Representative.
  • Contribute to reports on equipment and inventory as required, including monthly updates on stock levels, disposals, and usage for the Commonwealth representative.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail while executing various logistical and governance administrative duties as assigned by the Commonwealth representative.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about pursuing a career in Logistics, possess a solid customer service background, and are dedicated to supporting Defence operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Defence setting, ideally with knowledge of Defence Logistics policies.
  • Background in logistics or warehouse operations, preferably within Defence or other Federal Government entities.
  • Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to effectively manage and prioritize work tasks.
  • Demonstrate initiative in enhancing processes and adaptability to change.
  • Commitment to Defence Values and Behaviours.
