Job Role Overview

This site-based supervisory position oversees civil/bulk earthworks, working a 14 days on, 7 days off roster.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead from the front and drive a culture of safety and excellence;
  • Effectively manage resources to achieve production targets;
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of contractual obligations;
  • Provide effective leadership and supervision through presence, direction, guidance, and feedback to teams and individuals;
  • Supply timely and accurate information to meet management and client requirements;
  • Maintain and adhere to project scheduling;
  • Ensure all contractual and KPI reporting is provided to management and the client;
  • Work closely with the Project Management Team to ensure project activities are completed safely, within allocated budgets, and in a timely manner;
  • Inspire and encourage others towards goal achievement;
  • Assess employee performance through scheduled appraisals and prepares corrective and development plans as necessary.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in a supervisory/management role within bulk/civil earthworks;
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Management (or equivalent experience/qualification);
  • S1, S2, and S3 qualifications;
  • Understanding of mining and/or civil plant and equipment operations and maintenance;
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings;
  • Effective planning ability, time management, and prioritization;
  • Confident communication and liaison skills with employees, clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and maintenance-related systems; and
  • Self-motivation and a positive attitude.
