Job Title: Health Promotion Officer

About the Role:

Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of school-aged children and their families in South West Sydney?

The role involves contributing to Health Promotion programs of work in line with South Western Sydney Local Health District and the Ministry of Health's goals, principles, and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement healthy eating and active living initiatives for children aged 6 -16 years and their families, including the delivery of Healthy Children Initiative Programs at schools in South West Sydney.
  • Work closely with the team to deliver all stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, reporting and sustainability of programs promoting healthy eating and active living of children 6 years to 16 years and their families/carers.

Requirements include tertiary qualifications in health or a related field, demonstrated knowledge and experience in health promotion planning, implementation, evaluation and dissemination particularly relating to healthy eating and active living of children 6 years to 16 years and their families/carers. Also, knowledge and experience working with one of the Healthy Children Initiative school settings i.e. schools or out of school hours services is required. Additionally, the candidate must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license.
