About the Position

This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive strategies that foster relationships with Defence communities across all regions.

You will be coordinating meetings, workshops, and events to promote engagement and collaboration.

  • Developing procurement and Indigenous engagement strategies.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with external contractors.
  • Engaging with Defence communities to understand and address needs and concerns.
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Monitoring and reporting on engagement activities and their impact on project outcomes.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years' experience in industry engagement, procurement, or project management.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and organisations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong understanding of procurement strategies, processes, and regulations.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and facilitating meetings, workshops, and events promoting engagement and collaboration.
  • Developing and implementing procurement and Indigenous engagement strategies.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with external contractors to ensure alignment with desired objectives.
  • Engaging with Defence communities across all regions to understand and address needs and concerns.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations is upheld in relation to procurement and Indigenous engagement.
  • Monitoring and reporting on progression of engagement activities and their impact on project outcomes.
Requirements

The requirements for this role are:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field is highly desirable.
