At Uniting AgeWell, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Worker to join our team at our Strath-Haven Community Facility. As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centered care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver personalized care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their dignity and well-being.
- Monitor and report any changes in resident condition, ensuring timely escalation of concerns to the care team.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, upholding the values of kindness, respect, integrity, innovation, and inclusion.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (Aged Care) - Essential.
- Experience in residential aged care or home care - Desired.
- Experience with dementia care and palliative care support - Desired.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
