Morgan Consulting exclusively works with a leading procurement advisory organisation in Melbourne that specialises in public sector procurement, serving a diverse client base that includes State, Commonwealth, and Federal clients. Their work encompasses a range of projects that involve complex end-to-end sourcing, procurement transformation, implementation of procurement policies and frameworks, analysis, and embedding best practices with their partnered clientele.

About the Role

In this role, you will contribute to the successful delivery of projects for high-profile clients in Commonwealth, Federal, and State Agencies across Australia. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing your own workload to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects
  • Developing project planning documents, project deliverables such as writing plans, reports, analysis, and presentations, and project reports
  • Conducting analysis in relation to project deliverables and managing key clients and relevant stakeholders, building rapport and trust
  • Reporting to the Procurement Lead to engage them at critical points in the project for guidance, direction, and quality

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience working for a Commonwealth agency or as a Procurement Consultant who has worked on public sector projects
  • Experience running end-to-end sourcing events collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in a professional services or advisory environment will be highly regarded
  • Superb communication (both written and oral) and stakeholder management and engagement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Superb rapport building skills with the ability to quickly build lasting and trusting relationships
  • A flexible, friendly, proactive, and fun attitude
