Volunteer Biographer Opportunity

HammondCare is seeking a skilled volunteer biographer to record the stories and memories of our residents in residential aged care. This rewarding opportunity allows you to use your listening and writing skills to capture the life experiences and messages of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct face-to-face interviews with residents, capturing their life stories and memories
  • Use transcription software to document and edit the interview recordings
  • Collaborate with HammondCare staff to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the biographies
Requirements:
  1. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
  2. 50 words per minute typing skills
  3. Ability to work independently and problem solve
  4. Willingness to learn new technology and software
  5. Availability for a long-term commitment, up to 5 hours per week
