Personal Development Assistant

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Empowerment Specialist. This role involves providing individualized support to clients, promoting their independence and autonomy.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the social model of disability and experience working in the disability sector. They will be able to provide support that is tailored to each client's needs, based on their strengths and abilities.
This role includes delivering supports that lead to positive outcomes for clients and their families. It also involves planning and coordinating support with clients and their families, using a strengths-based approach.
- Deliver person-centered support that promotes client empowerment.
- Work collaboratively with clients and their families to identify goals and develop support plans.
- Provide education and training to clients and their families on topics related to disability and support.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Cert III in Individual Support or Higher, WWCC, NDIS Workers Module, NDIS Workers Check, Drivers Licence + Car, and First Aid. You will also need to have a neuroaffirming perspective, based on the social model of disability, and an understanding of psychosocial assessments.
