Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team at Kmart. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for integrating security practices into our DevOps pipelines, ensuring the security of our cloud environments, and mentoring engineers to build secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your expertise to work with our development teams, ensuring security is present in the development process from the start.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tools to detect vulnerabilities early in the development process.
  • Implement security best practices in cloud environments (AWS) and containerised platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Mentor engineers to build solutions using best practice secure coding practices.
  • Identify security gaps and strategize mitigation plans, ensuring robust cloud security.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in integrating security practices within DevOps pipelines, with a deep understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
  • Hands-on experience with creating CloudFormation templates, SSM documents for various tasks including creating bakehouse images, agent deployments, and other automations.
  • Knowledge on AWS cloud native security tools.
  • Hands-on experience around best practices and implementing/configuring security controls (encryption, key management, SSM, Network security, IAM) for cloud workloads.
  • Knowledge of specialist DevSecOps/Cloud Security tools like WIZ, Prisma Cloud, and SNYK.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with developers, operations, and security teams.
  • A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest security technologies, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
