About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our International Supply Chain team at Kmart. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting advanced software solutions that move millions of products from around the world into stores across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Architects, Tech Lead, and Engineering Manager to create development patterns
  • Understand technical designs and see them through the Agile development cycle
  • Support strong automation strategies and drive similar practices
  • Provide input to business for software solutions, estimates, and specifications
  • Mentor and support junior developers
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Java software development in Full-Stack roles
  • Strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript technologies/frameworks like NextJS, NodeJS, ReactJS
  • Working knowledge of AWS Cloud Technologies (ECS or EKS, EC2, RDS, CloudFormation)
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools – GitHub actions, Jenkins, Buildkite etc is preferred
  • Exposure to GraphQL is highly advantageous
  • Preferred exposure to containerisation using Docker
  • Familiarity of working in an Agile environment
  • Background in Supply Chain is highly desirable
