Cloud Security Architect

We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at Kmart Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to lead the integration of security practices into our DevOps processes and oversee end-to-end security for our AWS cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in integrating security practices within DevOps pipelines, with a deep understanding of CI/CD processes and tools. They will also have hands-on experience with creating CloudFormation templates, SSM documents, and other automations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tools to detect vulnerabilities early in the development process. They will also implement security best practices in cloud environments (AWS) and containerised platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
Additionally, the candidate will support agent deployment, bakehouse and cloud security tool and technology deployments, as well as mentoring engineers to build solutions using best practice secure coding practices.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will have:
- A strong background in integrating security practices within DevOps pipelines, with a deep understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
- Hands-on experience with creating CloudFormation templates, SSM documents for various tasks including creating bakehouse images, agent deployments and other automations.
- Knowledge on AWS cloud native security tools.
- Hands-on experience around best practices and implementing/configuring security controls (encryption, key management, SSM, Network security, IAM) for cloud workloads.
- Knowledge of specialist DevSecOps/Cloud Security tools like WIZ, Prisma Cloud and SNYK.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with developers, operations, and security teams.
In return, we offer a competitive salary of $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience.
