
Program Officer and Strategic Planner

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Program Officer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the preservation of one of the world's most diverse natural environments.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage grant contracts with First Nations organisations focusing on accountability, maintaining administrative systems and recordkeeping.
- Support and coordinate the program team in implementing the program's strategic plan and associated projects.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with First Nations people, officers in QPWS&P and other government departments to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Participate as a proactive team member contributing to Unit and Branch outcomes, supervising and mentoring staff as required to build capability and resilience within the Unit.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Contract management skills with a focus on accountability, maintaining administrative systems.
- Analytical, research and problem-solving skills including reviewing and synthesising information from multiple sources.
- High-level interpersonal and negotiation skills establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, particularly First Nations people.
