Job Title: Strategic Planner

Eden Ritchie is seeking a Strategic Planner to oversee portfolio management and financial reporting for infrastructure planning projects. The ideal candidate will provide high-level advice and reporting to stakeholders, develop strategic plans, and implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a Portfolio reporting dashboard for the Service Strategy team.
  • Lead the financial analysis and reporting of infrastructure planning projects and related programs for the Service Strategy team.
  • Contribute to the establishment of policies, processes, and tools for the development and implementation of quality reporting frameworks and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of performance measures to evaluate and report on specific infrastructure planning programs.
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to achieve continuous improvement and to modify practices, procedures, processes, technologies, tools, and strategies to achieve the objectives of the Service Strategy team.
  • Provide high-level advice and reporting to branch management, senior executive, Regional Directors, and Principals on a broad range of infrastructure planning projects.
  • Support preparation of correspondence and reports, submissions, briefing notes, ministerial correspondence, and policy documentation as required.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a highly skilled infrastructure planning team.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in finance management, reporting, and provision of specialist advice on performance against allocated project/program budgets, related trends, forecasting, actuals review, and monthly reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in program management, supporting processes, and systems such as SAP, data analytics, visualization, and modeling.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project and program methodologies, and experience in supporting multidisciplinary teams in strategic initiatives and achieving successful project outcomes within an infrastructure service delivery environment (or similar).
  • Skills and experience in identifying and analyzing problems, and exercising initiative and responsibility.
  • Confidence in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams and OneNote would be highly valued. Experience in the use of the Department Content Manager and PowerBi would also be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, setting priorities, and achieve results within tight deadlines in an environment of change and evolution.
