Leading Gastroenterology Services

This leadership role is a key position that oversees the gastroenterology service at two hospitals. The Medical Lead works closely with the Co-Leader and other team members to ensure that physicians and staff work together effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-leads activities to monitor and improve service delivery; engages with Division Heads and Chiefs of Staff to address professional medical practice issues.
- Implements processes to engage physicians and staff in continuous quality improvement; monitors team budget and performance jointly with Co-Leader, making course corrections when necessary.
- Acts as change management champion to support physicians and staff through change.
- Leads team activities that advance technology and data use to improve service delivery using electronic health records.
- Assesses, monitors, and anticipates team resource needs; works with medical leaders and administrative leaders to prioritize these needs within available resources.
