About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Horticultural Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play an integral part in maintaining and enhancing our green spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance our gardens, parks, and other outdoor spaces through various horticultural tasks such as pruning, weeding, planting, and mulching.
  • Operate hand tools and equipment safely and effectively under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, plants, and equipment from trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.

Requirements:

  • You must have a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related field will be highly regarded.
  • You must be able to safely lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Your ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team will help you to be successful in this role.
