Job Title: ICT Field Technician

Job Description:

The role of an ICT Field Technician involves conducting planned and corrective maintenance, technical investigations, and support configuration change activities of communication and mission systems. The ICT Field Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliability and integrity of complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting maintenance and troubleshooting activities to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Supporting the deployment of mission system equipment in various locations
  • Providing liaison services between engineering staff and customers
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require a Certificate III in Information Technology, Electronics/Telecommunications or similar qualification. You should also have a minimum of 3 years' experience in administering virtualised environments and a strong understanding of data interface standards and protocols.

You will need to be proficient in Linux Command Line Interface and CISCO network devices. Experience with troubleshooting tools such as WireShark is desirable. Familiarity with ISM and PSPF principles, as well as basic Cyber Security principles, is highly desirable.

Additionally, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance.
