As a ICT Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the maintenance and provisioning of ICT systems and solutions for Defence.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting customer issues related to Software Support System, mobile devices, and equipment. This includes managing network parameters and firewall settings for standalone devices such as laptops and mobile devices, and provisioning mobile devices used for tactical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure, install, and harden Standard Operating Environments (SOE)
  • Provide ICT services on-site and remotely, including occasional travel to customer sites
  • Perform technical troubleshooting and Help Desk Support services
  • Support software by installing patches and firmware updates
  • Create and update ICT standard operating procedures
  • Facilitate training on software support systems
  • Report and investigate security breaches and incidents
Essential Skills:
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Android operating systems, Virtual Machines, network servers, security hardening/management, firewalls, and scripting for process automation
  • Experience in ICT administration
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools
  • Knowledge of security certificate management and generation
  • Experience in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to guide others on systems, applications, networks, and hardware
  • Degree in engineering, IT, computer science, or related field
