The successful candidate will support the deployment and maintenance of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems and solutions for Defence.
Key Responsibilities:- Configure network settings and firewall rules for standalone devices such as laptops and mobile devices.
- Provision mobile devices used for tactical operations, ensuring they meet security requirements.
- Implement and harden Standard Operating Environments (SOE).
- Provide ICT services on-site and remotely, including occasional travel to customer sites.
- Perform technical troubleshooting and Help Desk Support services, addressing application/hardware faults and network communication issues.
- Support software by installing patches and firmware updates.
- Create and update relevant ICT standard operating procedures.
- Deliver training on software support systems for internal and external customers.
- Investigate security breaches and incidents, engaging with authorities when necessary.
Australian citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance are mandatory requirements.
Requirements:- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Android operating systems, Virtual Machines, network servers, security hardening/management, firewalls, and scripting for process automation.
- Experience in ICT administration, including management of networks, systems, and applications.
- Proficiency in Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools and knowledge of security certificate management.
- Ability to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Degree in engineering, IT, computer science, or related field, or a relevant technical diploma.
