Capital Performance Expert

About the Role
Suncorp Group is seeking a highly skilled Capital Performance Expert to join our team. As a Senior Capital Advisor, you will play a critical role in executing key responsibilities and supporting the broader capital community to drive the capital performance of the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly Performance Reporting of capital positions by Australian and NZ entities, covering capital sufficiency, the balance sheet, risk appetite considerations, and reinsurance.
- Capital budget and 3-year forecasting.
- Identifying risks and opportunities to the capital budget and rolling reforecast.
- Monitoring capital performance against budget, rolling reforecast, and identified risks and opportunities.
- Compliance and reporting of Non-Operating Holding Company (NOHC) conditions.
- Providing support on consolidation of the Group capital position and related capital management activities.
- Responsible for dividend forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Assessing capital impacts from portfolio and reinsurance strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Recognised Accounting/Actuarial degree or similar.
- Chartered Accountant or qualified/nearly qualified actuary.
- 3+ years of experience in reserving (desirable).
- At least 5 years of experience in an insurance/capital role (required).
- Strong stakeholder and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (accounting and actuarial).
