The Role

As a Capital Performance Frameworks Expert at Suncorp Group, you will play a critical role in driving the capital performance of the Group and achieving an efficient and robust use of the Group's capital. Your expertise will be essential in executing key responsibilities and supporting the broader capital community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain monthly performance reports on capital positions, covering capital sufficiency, balance sheet, risk appetite considerations, and reinsurance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create and manage capital budgets and 3-year forecasts.
  • Identify and assess risks and opportunities to the capital budget, and develop rolling reforecasts.
  • Monitor capital performance against budget, rolling reforecast, and identified risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance and reporting of Non-Operating Holding Company (NOHC) conditions.
  • Support the consolidation of the Group's capital position and related capital management activities.
  • Develop and maintain dividend forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Assess capital impacts from portfolio and reinsurance strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Recognized Accounting/Actuarial degree or similar.
  • Chartered Accountant or qualified/nearly qualified actuary (desired).
  • 3+ years of experience in reserving (desirable).
  • At least 5 years of experience in an insurance/capital role (required).
  • Strong stakeholder and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (accounting and actuarial).
