Health Safety Environment Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our health, safety, wellbeing and environment functions across the organisation. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about building a safety culture and reducing environmental impacts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading these streams of work to ensure innovative and best practice procedures, frameworks, policies and programs are in place across the organisation to minimise risk and develop and build our safety culture and enhance environmental performance.
- Model best practice health and safety leadership by ensuring specialist and pragmatic advice, practical guidance and support is available to the Executive Team, Managers and Frontline Supervisors.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, including legislation, national and international standards and codes of practice.
- Ensure we maintain the highest possible health and safety accreditations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a group of professionals based around Australia, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide support and work with managers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation relating to respective areas, such as manual handling, noise, prevention of falls, etc.
The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in HSE roles, with minimum of 5 in senior leadership. WHS - Formal qualifications are essential. They must also possess strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to conduct research, investigate and analyse complex issues and engage with key stakeholders to identify course of action or changes.
