Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Ability Action Australia. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality Allied Health services to our NDIS participants.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing therapeutic services to individuals with diverse needs. You will be responsible for managing a caseload, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans that promote independence and participation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of NDIS participants and provide therapeutic services to support their goals and outcomes
  • Conduct assessments to identify participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are evidence-based and tailored to each participant's needs
  • Provide support and advice on adaptations to the environment to promote independence and participation
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation and ensure compliance
Requirements:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
