Job Overview

Royal Australian Air Force offers an exciting opportunity for a legal professional to join their team and provide critical support to Defence leaders.

This role involves providing expert legal advice on military operations and aviation compliance, as well as assisting commanders with personnel management and ensuring the military justice system runs smoothly.

Upon completion of initial military and employment training, you will enjoy a salary package starting from $93,973.

Location

Following training, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Be at least 17 at the time of enlistment
  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Law e.g. Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Be admitted to practice as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of an Australian state or territory
  • Hold a current practising certificate with a state or territory Law Society or be immediately eligible to obtain a practising certificate
  • Have work or life experience relating to appropriate skills

If you are not an Australian Citizen, you may still be eligible to join the ADF if you meet certain criteria.
