The organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Care Physician to provide high-quality healthcare services to patients in Alice Springs, Australia.
This position will involve providing medical services comparable to those provided by the USG Facility Medical Officer during clinic hours and after-hours coverage as necessary.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in obtaining health history and performing physical examinations, diagnosing and directing counseling for each patient on a treatment plan, prescribing medication according to state statute and professional guidelines, and maintaining a problem-oriented health record for each patient seen.
Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive medical services to patients across diverse populations.
- Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.
- Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a treatment plan.
- Prescribe medication according to state statute and professional guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Ensure continuity of care by providing timely and comprehensive medical services.
- Offer excellent internal and external customer service to assist patients with their healthcare needs.
- Arrange referrals for patients requiring services not offered on-site.
- Review incoming reports and follow up in a timely manner.
- Assist in updating medical protocols and principles of practice as requested.
- Support outside medical public relations functions.
- Commit to continuous learning and adapting to the latest medical advancements.
- Expertise in primary care and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with a team valuing patient-centered care.
- Strong communication skills and empathetic demeanor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years' experience as a primary care physician.
Physical Demands:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment.
- Requires sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
- May involve bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- Citizenship of the US, UK, or Australia.
- Ability to relocate to Alice Springs, Australia for the duration of the contract.
