Technical Training Specialist">

The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and managing technical training programs for all employees. This role ensures that staff members have the skills and knowledge to operate and maintain plant machinery and equipment, follow safety protocols and adhere to industry best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and update technical training materials tailored to copper and cobalt plant operations.
  • Manage employee training schedules and coach staff to improve their performance.
  • Ensure that training programs comply with industry regulations, safety policies and environmental standards.
  • Conduct hands-on training on plant equipment.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training and track employee certification levels.
  • Identify areas for improvement and integrate best practices in training in the industry.
  • Work closely with plant supervisors and external training partners.
  • Ensure compliance with waste management and energy conservation policies.
  • Comply with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures as well as MUMI SARL's environmental policy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in mining, metallurgy or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a technical role in a mining, metallurgical or industrial environment, including at least 2-3 years in a training or leadership capacity.
  • Experience in the operation of copper and cobalt plants, mineral processing or similar industries.
