Job Overview

As an experienced instrument technician and educator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Organizing training sessions for CSSD staff
  • Developing and managing infection control protocols
  • Handling repair requests and ensuring equipment is maintained in optimal condition
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, testing, and maintaining endoscopy equipment
  • Ensuring adherence to sterilizing practice standards and infection control guidelines at all times
  • Performing duties in various work areas of the department, including decontamination, packing, sterilisation, loan instruments, and endoscopy
  • Testing machinery and completing audits as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Grade 4 technician
  • Strong experience in endoscopy
  • A Certificate IV in Sterilising Services or equivalent
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and respond to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
