Indigenous Community Manager

The Representative for Children and Youth is seeking a skilled professional to work collaboratively with teams, subject matter experts, people with lived experience, and partners to drive collective systemic action.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide project management and oversight of monitoring team members to ensure seamless execution.
- Collaborate with RCY teams and partner organizations to mobilize resources for impactful collective action.
- Nurture positive relationships across RCY teams to foster a collaborative environment.
In recognition of the critical importance of a lived understanding of Indigenous communities, history, values, and ways of knowing, this role is restricted to self-identified Indigenous applicants.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing and decolonizing approaches in research and data stewardship.
About the Role:This position will operate under the authority of the Representative for Children and Youth Act and Regulations, providing advocacy support to individuals dealing with the service system and advocating directly on behalf of children, youth, and young adults.
The Manager will also be responsible for reviewing and investigating deaths and critical injuries of children and youth receiving services.
