About this role

As a Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs to help PACCAR dealerships improve their technical skills and knowledge. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global market leader in the heavy commercial vehicle industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate dealership training activities related to the service function.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis of required technical training content.
  • Develop and deploy ongoing training calendar of events that are in line with training needs/gap.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, developing training programs/materials of specialist mechanical and technical skills and knowledge required to service DAF Trucks.
  • Dealer visits, collaborating with service personnel/management to enhance technician competency and efficiency on the floor.
  • Regular updates to training programs/materials that reflect product changes and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of external market training and benchmarks best practice.
  • Continually seek to expand mechanical and technical skills/knowledge to ensure development and deliverables of training materials/programs are specific to trucks.
  • Amplify dealership utilisation of electronic learning platforms.
  • Monitor, report and communicate training competition rates to ensure pre-determined targets are met.

Requirements

  • Heavy vehicle automotive trade qualification.
  • Advanced mechanical and technical aptitude with European product / driveline familiarity.
  • Strong familiarity of automotive dealerships.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the training industry or heavy vehicle automotive dealership.
  • Knowledge of the training process and environment.
  • Strong eye for detail, decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Keeps abreast of technology and product innovation, building on skills and knowledge.
  • Experience with the design, development, and delivery of training systems, including eLearning.
