We are partnered with a well-known mining company for the recruitment of a new Technical Trainer.

This is an initial 6-month contract position and is an opportunity to continue your career with a respected player in the mining industry.

This role would operate on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, paid 12 hours per day and at a competitive hourly rate.

You'll report to the Superintendent of Site Training, and work within the company's Training Department delivering compliance and technical training programs.

You will:

- Deliver organisational competency requirements.
- Plan and schedule compliance training.
- Manage and drive quality controls training and competence evidence recording to ensure compliance against the relevant requirements of the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF).
- Support financial management and objectives of the Training department.
- Manage and deliver processes for measuring the effectiveness and accuracy of compliance training deliveries.
- Track and report upon compliance training delivery.
- Maintain training documentation and record keeping in line with Training department procedures.
- Contribute to and manage improvement initiatives for compliance training.
- Partner closely with all Business Areas to ensure compliance training and development is prioritised appropriately and aligns with business goals and objectives.
- Support external vendor relationships for the Training department whilst assessing and exploring new opportunities.
- Participate in assigned training projects and perform other duties as assigned.

In terms of your background, you will have:

- Cert IV Training & Workplace Assessment
- Skills and knowledge in working with VET qualifications
- Skills and knowledge in working with HRW Licence sector
- Knowledge of High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) Sector
- Knowledge of Nationally recognised training programs and sector
- Ability to deliver essential training under auspice agreements with RTOs
- Planning and scheduling of training packages to deliver priority compliance training to site Area personnel
- Excellent communication skills
