Procurement Leadership Role

This senior procurement professional is responsible for driving strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier performance initiatives to achieve organisational objectives.

The role ensures best-in-class procurement practices, cost optimisation, supply continuity, risk mitigation, and value creation across all categories. This includes leading the procurement team, creating comprehensive procurement strategies, and overseeing key business processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a high-performing procurement team, fostering a collaborative culture and promoting continuous improvement
  • Create and execute procurement strategies that align with business goals and objectives
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure best terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels
  • Oversee procurement budgets, ensuring costs are within approved limits, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Evaluate and adjust strategies to respond to changing market conditions and business requirements
  • Ensure efficient and effective procurement processes throughout the organisation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide strategic support to deliver on business objectives
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices in procurement activities and ensure suppliers adhere to these standards
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 10 years procurement experience across multiple categories of spend
  • Previous experience in a corporate environment dealing with complex organisational structures
