  • Operating and maintaining a leachate/waste water treatment plant in Raymond Terrace

Job Description:

Our company is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain the contaminated water treatment plant. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure contract obligations are met.

The Water Treatment Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring the treatment plant, undertaking routine maintenance activities including supervision of work orders and maintaining a spare parts inventory.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operate, monitor and maintain the contaminated water treatment plant
  • Assist project/process engineers in undertaking improvement and optimisation initiatives
  • Carry out water sampling with a high degree of care to prevent cross contamination
  • Maintain asset integrity by regular inspections, services and testing to ensure maximum uptime
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure contract obligations are met

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in water treatment operations is desired. A working knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and components is required. Previous experience in water sampling and/or testing is highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water treatment operations and possess excellent communication skills.
