About the Role
A skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic is needed to maintain and repair complex diesel engines, transmissions, and other equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic testing, engine rebuilding, and transmission overhauls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy equipment
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose mechanical issues
- Overhaul and rebuild engines and transmissions as required
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., diesel fitting, mechanics)
- Proven experience working with diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy equipment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
